Press Release: Italian Referendum

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi announces his resignation after the results of the referendum on 4 December 2016 in Rome

On Sunday December 4th, almost 60% of Italians rejected, through a referendum, the constitutional reform carried out by Matteo Renzi, Italy’s Prime Minister.

This resulted in the immediate resignation of the Council’s President paving the way for new elections.

Many observers see this as not only a rejection effecting Italy, but all of Europe as well. Thus, an “Italexit” is now conceivable for this country, which is the third economy in the European Economic and Monetary Union.

This massive refusal is further proof, after the Brexit and Trump’s election, that the classical political class can no longer convince the people who are constantly expressing their rejection and the fact that they are fed-up with the “establishment”

The second round of the Austrian presidential elections which saw an environmental candidate confront a nationalist right candidate, also demonstrates this tendency to refuse to trust traditional parties.

The Anti-Zionist Party congratulates the Italian people for their foresight, and hopes that the French do the same in the upcoming elections by firmly banning all candidates who serve the oligarchy.

It is time to regain our freedom in face of these submissive politicians who are ordinary employees for international financial firms, and who have shown their disregard to the interests of the people and the nation.
